Privacy policy
Last updated: November 6, 2026.
This policy covers Sprint Truth for Jira ("the app") and this website. The app is made by Gold Standard Web LLC, a Wisconsin limited liability company, of 7530 39th Ave, Kenosha, WI 53142 ("we"). Contact: hello@goldstandardweb.com.
The short version
- The app runs on Atlassian Forge, inside your Jira site. It sends nothing outside Atlassian.
- It stores sprint facts and Atlassian account ids. It never stores work item text, names, emails or sprint goals.
- We don't sell data, and we use no trackers, ads or analytics.
What the app reads
- Scrum boards, sprints, work items in those sprints, and (during a history rebuild) work items in those boards' projects that are in no sprint, so removals are counted.
- Each work item's Sprint and story-point change history.
- Permission checks, to make sure people only see boards they can open.
- Work item summaries and people's display names, read live to show on the Sprint review page. These are never stored.
What the app stores
All in Atlassian's Forge storage for your site:
- Sprint ids, sprint and board names, sprint dates and states.
- Work item ids and keys, which sprints they were in, when they joined or left, story points at the start and end, and point changes.
- The results of the checks against Jira.
- Atlassian account ids of the people who moved work items, changed points, or changed the app's settings.
- App settings and job progress.
The app also writes values to its own nine read-only Jira fields and to one hidden issue property. These hold sprint names, dates and counts.
What the app never stores
Work item summaries, descriptions or comments. People's names or emails. Sprint goals. Passwords or tokens.
Where data is kept
In Atlassian's cloud, through Forge hosted storage. Atlassian's Forge documentation says this storage supports data residency, so the data follows your Jira site's data residency location.
Who processes it
Atlassian, as the Forge platform. We use no other subprocessors. Rovo answers are produced by Atlassian's own Rovo.
Account ids and closed accounts
Every week the app reports the account ids it holds to Atlassian. When Atlassian says an account is closed, the app erases that id and shows "Former user" instead.
Retention and deletion
- Data is kept while the app is installed.
- When you uninstall, Atlassian's Forge platform deletes the app's stored data after its retention period. A reinstall within 21 days can restore it.
- The nine fields disappear on uninstall. A reinstall within 30 days brings their values back.
- The hidden record on each work item does not go away by itself. It lives on your work items rather than in the app's own storage, so uninstalling the app leaves it behind. Before you remove the app, go to Apps → Sprint Truth → Fields and press Remove from work items. The app also tries to clear it when you uninstall, but that attempt is short and we would rather you did not have to rely on it.
- To have your site's data deleted sooner, email hello@goldstandardweb.com from an admin of that site.
What that hidden record holds is listed under What the app stores: sprint ids, dates and counts. No work item text, no names.
Support emails
If you email us, we keep the email to answer you and to improve the app. We don't add you to any mailing list unless you ask.
This website
This site uses no cookies, no analytics, no trackers and no forms. The host may keep standard server logs, such as IP address and pages requested, for security.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or complain to your data protection authority. Most data the app holds belongs to your company's Jira site. For that, start with your Jira admin.
Changes
If we change this policy, we update the date at the top and say what changed.
