Velocity across several Jira teams
Examples use made-up data: the Payments team, Sprint 42, PAY-212.
Jira's velocity chart shows one board at a time.
What Sprint Truth has today
The PMO view (on the project page) compares up to 25 boards over the last 3 to 12 sprints:
- say/do, which is delivered ÷ committed story points;
- the share of work added after the start;
- rollover rate;
- differences found by the checks against Jira.
The Sprint scope dashboard gadget shows one board's recent sprints: committed, added, removed and done, with the check against Jira for each.
The Sprint velocity dashboard gadget puts this on a dashboard: committed against delivered story points for the last 3 to 12 closed sprints, for one team or up to 10 on the same gadget, with the average delivered per board.
Between them the two gadgets cover one board in detail and several boards side by side. If there's a cut of this you need and can't get, tell us at hello@goldstandardweb.com.
Points as they were
Sprint Truth records story points at the start and at the close of each sprint, and every change in between. A late re-estimate doesn't rewrite history.
